Well, we will be saying that shortly – so… it’s time to prepare in advance! If you are looking for fun places to celebrate the new year in Coral Gables, then you’ve come to the right place! Listed in no particular order, I tried to get a list of something for everyone! Let me know if there’s something else you’d like to see!

A Zen Approach

Start with a clean slate through mental, emotional, physical and spiritual journeying with Ali Kaplan. Continuing his sessions every first and third Tuesdays of each month, UM Professor Scott Rodgers and Alice Lash will help you “unwind, refocus and reclaim the day” with mindfulness sitting from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM. Dinner, expertly prepared by the in-house culinary team, as well as a full-service open bar is definitely another way to ring in the New Year! “All that Glitters” is the theme, so be sure to to glam out in your finest! Kick it old school with an elegant Masquerade Ball! The party begins at 8:30pm when the doors open to the beautiful Granada Ballroom. An exquisite dinner will be presented with a Premium Open Bar. In addition to the scrumptious four course dinner, there will be an over the top dessert buffet with various delectable sweets and savories. The Alhambra Ballroom will offer a dance lounge for those attending the dessert portion of the evening, featuring a DJ and live band! At midnight, champagne will flow and fireworks will light up the sky over the golf course. Cigars will be offered on the terrace and other fun activities will help ring in the New Year. Eye Etudes

While you still can catch the firework show from the Biltmore from a safe distance, for free, for those of us looking for a more affordable front row seat should check out the fireworks show, DJ playing favorite songs, complimentary hats, tiaras and noise makers event at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. Food, drink and champagne will be available for purchase, but the main event for families, couples and friends starts at 7PM.
